LES SAULES PLEUREURS

"We wanted to record them in an honest way. One take with everyone playing at once. No overdubs. We're trying to connect to people and we didn't want technology to get in the way."

With Robert Paul (Severed Limb) on vocals and guitar, and Sophie Loyer (Urban Voodoo Machine) on violin, Les Saules Pleureurs play a mixture of alt-country, Cajun and western swing. Sam Soper joined them for the session, augmenting the sound with luscious lap-steel guitar.

This level of intimacy is even carried into the production of the records, with only a handful being produced, each one individually cut on a lathe in real-time.  WONDERFULSOUND's involvement means these limited recordings can reach a wider audience.
